Seat Belt Pillows

This project started with pinterest (of course).   I read a few tutorials and made up my own.  I like to conserve fabric and simplify as much as possible.  A lot of patterns or tutorials had Velcro.  Well, with my long flowing hair, I decided to go with buttons. And, sewing with Velcro is a bear!  Hate iT!I made three pillows for my boys with every intention to borrow and or steal on road trips.  Long rides requires naps.  This pillow helps a little.  I would say it is prefect for the five point harness seat with bumpers for the head.  The pillow would wedge in well and be oh so comfy.  The kids requested minky, but I opted for something cheaper, but cute.  Now, I want to make a matching organizer box for the car.

Summer Hand Towel

I made this hand towel for myself and friends.  I found the free pattern online at the DIYdish. season 3.  I really like using my Pazzle inspiration (AKA Pazzie)  to cut fabric any shape I want.  Then, move over to my Bernina and sew away.  I love creating in my craft room.

Table Runners

This table runner has two purposes:  Christmas and Valentines!

I love this "Smell my Feet" table runner from My Lazy Daisy.  I used Pazzie (aka Pazzles Inspiration) to cut the shoes, socks, and spider.  Now I have this cutting file forever and can resized as needed for future projects.  I made a cute hand towel with the file for my dear sisters in my ward that I visited monthly.  Did I take a picture?  Nope...forgot.

Chunky Cheveron Quilt - Queen Sized

My first completed  quilt!  If I were to go back in time, I would of started with a smaller project.  This one was intense!  It took me 3.5 hours to machine quilt this with a long arm.  My neck and shoulders were sore for a week afterwards. But, I am pretty proud of the final product.  I did instruct Ben that in the case of death, please don't give this quilt to the DI!

My craft space

I have big plans for this space of mine.  It is coming together slowly.  So far, the framing is up and the vents are installed.  My dear husband put two vents in my craft room!  He said, I can sew, craft in the middle of winter with a T-shirt on.  It is the only room in the entire house with two vents.  Aww...cozy warm.  Last winter, I was sewing with cold hands and feet.  Not anymore!  I considered myself lucky to have such a big space to create in.  Stayed tuned for more pictures throughout the next five years.............:)

334 half square triangles...

It has taken me four different sessions to complete this pile of beauty.  Wait until it is all put together.
I'm using Riley Blake Songbird fabric, a current selection for Summer 2012.
This is my first quilt, and I hope I'm pleased in the end.
